Where does my workshop attendee data go?

PDF rendering stays in your browser. Certly generates certificate PDFs using pdf-lib inside a Web Worker on your device. Attendee names and emails are stored in IndexedDB. Rendering needs no roster upload; public Sheets import and Gmail delivery use the API.

Questions / Answers

Workshop certificate FAQ

Common questions from workshop organizers

How do I generate certificates for a workshop?

Bring the workshop design and a reviewed attendance list. Place the name, session, and date fields, preview the layout, then generate a PDF for each row.

Is Certly free for workshops?

Yes. There is no fee to make a batch or repeat the workflow with another group.

Can I send workshop certificates directly to attendees by email?

Yes. Connect your Gmail account via OAuth and send personalized certificates to every attendee in one batch. Each person receives an individual email with their certificate attached as a PDF.

What data do I need to generate workshop certificates?

At minimum, a name column. If you want to email certificates, also include an email column. Extra columns like role, date, or workshop title can be added as fields on the certificate.

Can I use my Google Forms workshop registration data?

Yes. Review the responses in the linked sheet, then export a CSV or import a public URL. Generating certificates is a separate action you choose.

Does Certly upload my workshop attendee data?

Rendering needs no roster upload. Public Sheets are read through the API, and Gmail delivery relays recipient addresses, messages, and PDFs through it to Google.
